TWINS: 2 TO INFINITY

FASHION | TEXTILE | GRAPHIC | 2020

Inspired by the relationship between my twin sister and I, this project explores the connection and variations of us as twins. The project began with the research of our photos in childhood, then go through the intimate connection through the expression of DNA, cells and tree roots. The design study moved forward to our little habit, which is to observe ourselves through mirror. The infinity mirrors resulted by two parallel mirrors reminds me of the characteristics as being twins, we are two individuals, look alike, but have many differences, both physically and mentally. The infinity symbol is then derived to distort the infinity layers of mirrors to create unique graphic, with gradient. The closely connected relationship of twins is visualised, our relationship, similarities and differences are essential themes of the project. We, as twins, look alike, but different.
