CLONE, ALIVE FOR WHOM?
FASHION | TEXTILE | SUSTAINABILITY | CHINA INNOVATION AWARD 2019
Inspired by short movie "WORLD of TOMORROW", this collection features symbolic elements of possible future clone situation, that people clone themselves into "rebirth and send digital boxes into space to achieve eternity, the clones revisit their prime self by time travel as they are frustrated with their identities.
The project aims to discuss the issue that clones are living from the prime memories, so
do they have the rights to be unique?
Silhouettes, textiles, and accessories are explored through a mix of materials and techniques, including molding, embroidery, tubing, 3D draping, origami.
